What are anti-wrinkle injections?

Botox® (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is one of the most popular anti-ageing treatments around to prevent the formation of wrinkles and to soften existing lines.

The commonest areas we treat are frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet around the eyes and forehead ‘worry’ lines.

They can be used to soften wrinkles that have already formed or can be used as a preventative measure in younger people to stop wrinkles from developing or deepening as you age. Botox temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for wrinkles, promoting a smoother, subtle more youthful look.

How long does Botox® last?

Results will be seen 5-6days following Botox® injections. It usually takes 10-14days for the full effect to occur. Hence we provide a follow-up appointment after 2 weeks to ensure you are happy with the outcome and if a free ‘top-up’ is required. Results last at least 3-4mths and with regular use, longer term benefits of wrinkle reduction and softening can be seen.
